Publication Ethics and Retraction Policy
Wisdomgale Journals is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical Standards
All submitted manuscripts must adhere to the following ethical standards:
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
- Plagiarism: All sources must be properly cited. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection or further action as appropriate.
- Data Integrity: Research data must be accurate and complete. Fabrication or falsification of data constitutes serious misconduct.
- Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and agree to the final version of the manuscript.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could bias their work.
- Human and Animal Subjects: Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with relevant ethical guidelines and regulations, including appropriate ethical approval where required.
Retraction Policy
Wisdomgale Journals follows COPE guidelines for retracting articles. A published article may be retracted if:
- Clear evidence of research misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism) is found;
- Significant errors or omissions are discovered that invalidate the findings;
- Authorship disputes arise that cannot be resolved;
- Violations of ethical standards are confirmed.
Important: Retraction decisions are made by the journal’s Editor-in-Chief in consultation with COPE guidelines. Retracted articles will remain publicly available but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” with a full explanation of the reason for retraction. Where appropriate, a notice of concern or correction may be issued instead of or prior to retraction.

Nothing in this section shall exclude or limit liability for:

- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory provisions of Belgian law.
Force Majeure
Wisdomgale Journals shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labour or materials, or failures of public utilities or telecommunications networks.
Privacy and Data Protection

Personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and transparently, collected for specified and legitimate purposes, limited to what is necessary, kept accurate and up to date, stored only for as long as necessary, and processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security.
Detailed information regarding the collection, processing, storage, retention, and protection of personal data, as well as the rights of data subjects (including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection), is set out in the Wisdomgale Journals Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

Wisdomgale Journals may suspend or terminate user access when necessary, including situations involving:
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions;
- Unauthorized use of services;

- Fraudulent or unlawful activities.
Users may request account closure at any time according to the applicable procedures. Upon termination, Wisdomgale Journals may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Fees and Payment
Publication fees, including Article Processing Charges (APC) where applicable, vary by journal. Not all journals published by Wisdomgale Journals charge a fee for publication; some journals operate on a fee-free (diamond open access) basis while others require payment of an APC upon acceptance.
Authors should consult the specific fee information published on the relevant journal’s website prior to submission. Where a fee applies, the applicable amount, currency, and payment terms will be clearly stated on the journal’s fee page or communicated to the author during the editorial process.
Where applicable, the following general terms apply to APC payments:
- APC, where charged, is invoiced only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication following peer review, unless otherwise stated for a specific journal or service (such as optional editorial services requested by the author).
- Submission of a manuscript does not obligate the author to pay a fee unless and until the manuscript is accepted.
- Payment must be made in accordance with the payment method, currency, and timeframe specified at the time of invoicing.
- Fees already paid are generally non-refundable once an article has been published, except where required by applicable law or where Wisdomgale Journals determines, at its discretion, that a refund is warranted (for example, in the case of a demonstrable error attributable to Wisdomgale Journals).
- Waivers or discounts may be available for certain journals, institutions, or regions, subject to the specific journal’s policy. Authors are encouraged to inquire about waiver options at the time of submission if applicable.
Wisdomgale Journals reserves the right to update fee amounts and payment terms from time to time. Any such changes will apply to manuscripts submitted after the effective date of the change and will not retroactively affect manuscripts already accepted.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
Wisdomgale Journals may revise these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes in services, legal requirements, or operational practices.
Updated versions will become effective when published on the Wisdomgale Journals website unless otherwise stated. The version number and last update date will be clearly indicated at the top of this page.
Material changes will, where reasonably practicable, be communicated to registered users by email or through a notice on the platform.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through good-faith discussions. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably within a reasonable period, either party may propose mediation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably or through mediation shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
Where a user qualifies as a consumer under applicable European Union or Belgian consumer protection law, nothing in this section shall be construed as depriving such user of the protections afforded to them by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which they are habitually resident, where such protections cannot be excluded by agreement.
